All correspondence is to be directed to the Office of the Grand Chief, which serves as the sole diplomatic and administrative office for the Nation.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Authority of the Office<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Grand Chief holds sovereign authority by:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Treaty right<\/strong>, inherited from sachemic ancestors including Canonicus<\/strong> (Narragansett), Kanien\u2019keh\u00e1:ka Hertel<\/strong> (Mohawk), Catoneras<\/strong> (Matinecock, within Montaukett-aligned confederated kinship), and Dawes-era enrolled Cherokee\u2013Powhatan kin<\/strong>, anchoring the Nation within both Northeastern and Southeastern treaty domains<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
